Optional functions are not enabled by scrolling or simply opening a page. Choose Necessary only, Customize or Enable optional services. Closing the initial dialog leaves optional services disabled. Refusals and acceptances have the same retention period.
Storage inventory
BIGGERSESSID (configurable name): technical session, authentication and request protection; a session cookie, also used by some public API requests.
bigger_choices25: versioned service choices and date, kept for 180 days, with a synchronized local copy. It contains no search terms, account or advertising identifier.
bigger.preferences.v24: language, country and optional place. bigger.sites25: sites you save. bigger.web.search.provider.v1: selected provider. bigger.theme / bigger.local.theme: theme. These stay until cleared. If installed, the PWA may cache application resources until updated or removed.
Optional features
Brave suggestions receive partial typing via the Bigger server after you enable them. External news uses the country, language and optional place to request headlines. Thumbnails are fetched through the server’s controlled media proxy, without embedding publisher scripts in Home.
These choices do not install analytics or advertising profiling pixels. Technical security and contextual advertising accounting are described separately; absolute anonymity of all services is not claimed.
Revoke or clear
Use Preferences in the footer at any time. You can export or clear Home data, or remove this site’s data in browser settings. Removing session cookies may sign you out. The desktop browser has a separate local store. Mail, passwords and documents are not automatically deleted. Other sites and checkout pages have their own notices and choices.
